Description
This is a pair of gate piers dated 1682, which may have been re-sited. They are made of granite and have a circular plan with integral rectangular blocks at the top. The blocks feature raised carved lettering, including initials that may include IM, although this is not completely legible, along with the date 1682. The piers are topped with stone ball finials, likely added in the 19th century. Each pier stands about 2 metres high.
