Description
The railway viaduct on the St Austell - Truro line was built in 1898 to replace an earlier viaduct from 1859. It carries the railway over a valley and is constructed from rock-faced slatestone rubble with granite dressings and a brick parapet. The structure features ten round arches, each with imposts and granite arch rings. The piers are rectangular in shape, battered, and include an upper string course and brick parapet. Additionally, the former piers from the earlier viaduct are located parallel to the south side of the current viaduct and are also rectangular and battered.
