Description

Woodlands is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed of granite rubble with brick dressings, and has a half-hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. A brick shaft marks the stack at the left end; a truncated stack is present to the right. The house follows a double-depth plan, featuring a central entrance and principal rooms to the front left and right, of equal size and originally heated by end stacks. A central rear stair hall and shallow service rooms are also present.

From the front, the house is symmetrical with a three-window facade. All windows are 19th-century 16-pane sashes, set within segmental brick arches. A 20th-century half-glazed door is centrally positioned, also with a segmental brick arch. The ends of the building are blind. The rear elevation includes a central 19th-century four-panelled door, with 16-pane sashes to the right and left. A central stair light with eight panes and pointed arched toplights is also present, along with sashes to the right and left. The interior has not been inspected.
