Description

Trezize Farmhouse is a Grade II listed farmhouse, originally a house with a cottage, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted and rendered cob, with some slate-hanging on the first floor of the front and the right gable end. The building features wooden lintels and has corrugated asbestos roofs on two levels, along with a lean-to porch and brick chimneys over the right gable end, which has a large external breast, and over the party wall. The layout consists of a two-room central-stair plan for the house, with a full-width rear outshut, and a one-room side entry plan for the cottage. The farmhouse is two storeys high, presenting an irregular one-window front for the cottage on the left and a symmetrical two-window front for the house. All windows are four-pane sashes, and there are planked doors and slate sills. The house features a large central lean-to porch, likely from the 19th century. The interior remains largely unaltered, retaining original stairs, floors, and roof, although structural features are concealed by later ceilings.
