Description

The gate piers, gate, and adjoining outbuilding, located approximately 30 meters northeast of the Church of Saint Sithney, are notable structures. The gate piers likely date from the 18th century, while the gate and outbuilding are probably from the early to mid-19th century. The gate piers are made of granite ashlar with dressed granite copings. The wrought iron gate features a swagged top rail and arrowhead finials on closely set bars. The gateway is rectangular in shape, flanked by tall granite ashlar walls that serve as gate piers, which have chamfered copings. The outbuilding, possibly a stable, is constructed from killas rubble and has a dressed granite lintel, topped with a corrugated iron roof and gable ends. The entrance of the outbuilding is aligned with the gateway, featuring a doorway next to the right-hand wall of the gateway, and the front gable end has a rounded wall at one corner.
