Description
This milestone, dated 1764, is located 250 metres northwest of West Haye Farmhouse. It is made of granite and has a rectangular shape with a rounded top. The milestone features black painted lettering that is incised, partly in lower case and includes serifs. It indicates a distance of 6 furlongs and 25 poles on the turnpike road leading into Callington, which was established under the Turnpike Act of 1764.
