CARDINHAM CARDINHAM SX 16 NW 6/34 Ough monument in the churchyard - about 5 metres south of tower of Church of St Meubred

GV II

Headstone. C18. Slate. 4-centred arched head, with incised border, cherub's head with wings to top. Long admonitory verses describing how John Ough was "killed by the sudden falling in of a Gravel Pit" ; incised heart and good lettering. To John Ough, aged 37, 1775.
