Description

Milestone on Zelah Hill, dating from the early 19th century, is made of granite. It features a painted rectangular shaft with a pyramidal top. The face of the milestone is cut away to create a panel with cut lettering that has been overpainted. The left side reads "BODMIN 18," the center face shows "10 / R," and on the right side, "PENZANCE 28M" is written diagonally. There is a benchmark on the base.
