Description
This is a milestone from the early 19th century, made of roughly hewn granite. It stands about 70 centimetres high and has a triangular shape. The milestone is painted, featuring uppercase lettering without serifs, indicating distances of 8 miles to Bodmin on one face and 16 miles to Truro on the other. There is also a carved and painted benchmark at the top.
