Description

This is a tomb chest located 25 metres to the northwest of the tower of the Church of St Breock. It was created in 1747 in memory of Jane, the wife of William Collins, who died in that same year. The tomb chest also commemorates William Collins, who died in 1763, and James Collins, who died in 1870. It is made of brick and features a rectangular slate lid. The chest has a marginal inscription along with two additional inscriptions in the central panel. The inscriptions are written in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
