Description
The Collins chest tomb, dating from the 18th century, is located about 1.5 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Constantine. It is constructed from granite ashlar and features a moulded granite lid. The plinth, if it exists, is buried. The lid has an inset slate inscribed in both upper and lower case lettering, commemorating the Rev. John Collins, who died in 1753; the date is nearly illegible. John Collins served as the vicar for 19 years.
