Description

Overdale is a late 18th-century town house built on a 17th-century site in Penryn. The exterior is stuccoed, featuring a plinth and key blocks, set against a rubble front. It has a steeply pitched dry slate roof hidden behind a moulded cornice. The building has a deep plan, including a rear wing set at a right angle to the main structure. It is three storeys high and has a three-window front. The windows are late 19th or 20th-century two-pane sash windows with horns. A pilastered doorway, likely from the early or mid-19th century, sits on the right-hand side, topped with a moulded hood supported by consoles. The doorway retains original fielded-panelled reveals and a six-panel door with glazed top panels. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to contain features of interest.
