Description

This is a small town house, likely originally part of a larger property. It dates from the 17th century, with alterations and rebuilding in the early 19th century. The house is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings, including lintels to the ground-floor windows. The first floor has timber lintels, and the roof is covered in asbestos slate with a rendered stack on the left and a brick stack on the right. Cast-iron ogee gutters are also present.

The house has a shallow double-depth plan and a nearly symmetrical two-window front. It contains 20th-century sixteen-pane horned sash windows and a central 20th-century four-panel top-glazed door.

An inspection around 1980 revealed surviving 18th-century features inside, along with evidence of a possible winder stair turret at the rear. This turret would have provided a winding staircase.
