Description

This is a town house in Penryn, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, and representing a remodelling of an earlier building. The exterior is constructed of dressed coursed granite and granite rubble, with flat, keyed granite arches defining the ground and first floor windows. The roof is covered in dry slate, with a rendered stack on the right side. The house has an L-shaped layout, including a wing at the rear right. The front facade is three stories high and features a slightly asymmetrical arrangement of three windows. The windows are 20th-century replacements, featuring sixteen panes and horns. The recessed doorway, located to the left of the central window, includes incised pilasters and a deep hood supported by large brackets. The door itself is a four-panel design with an overlight. An inspection around 1980 revealed evidence of altered floor levels within the interior.
