EGLOSKERRY PENHEALE SX 28 NE 8/54 Outbuilding 20 metres to south of - Penheale Manor

GV II

Barn. Probably late C18 extended in early to mid C19. Stone rubble with cob upper floor, extended in stone rubble. Slate roof with gable ends. Plan: Overall rectangular plan. Earlier range on left of rectangular plan with central entrance, extended on higher right hand side with second rectangular range; full height opening between the two ranges. Exterior: Two storeys. Built down slope with ground rising to right. Asymmetrical front elevation with full height opening near centre. Earlier range on left has plank double doors flanked by C19 window with lapped glass on left and C19 2-light casement on right. 3-light timber mullion window on first floor. Later range to right with reset granite 2-light mullion window on ground floor. Interior: Not inspected.
