Farm Buildings at from 5 Metres West of Trewartha

The farm buildings located 5 meters west of Trewartha date from the early to mid-19th century. They consist of a waggon shed with a granary above and an adjoining piggery. Constructed from granite rubble with dressed granite quoins and some jambstones, the buildings feature wooden lintels and have grouted scantle slate roofs with gable ends. The layout is L-shaped, with one arm being a long single-storey piggery range that follows the slope of the land, and the other arm being a two-storey waggon shed with a granary above and a single-storey store on the right. The main openings face into the angle of the L: the piggery has five small doorways, two of which are very low, while the cartshed has two wide doorways, one of which is partly blocked. On the first floor, the granary features a wide loading and winnowing doorway, with a similar opening accessible by granite steps at the rear. These buildings form a cohesive group with Trewartha.
