Group Of 9 Headstones Of Clogg Family 5-10 Metres To South West Of Tower Of Church Of St Nonna

This group of nine headstones, located 5 to 10 meters southwest of the tower of the Church of St Nonna, commemorates members of the Clogg family and dates from 1745 to 1842. The earliest headstone, from 1745, honors Joseph Clogg and his daughter, featuring a slate design decorated with an angel's head and hearts, along with a verse below. A mid-18th century headstone commemorates Mary Clogg, with a flat head and an eroded inscription, also made of slate and adorned with an angel's head. The 1771 headstone for William Clogg is decorated with an angel's head set within a classical round arch on columns, accompanied by a long verse. The 1800 headstone for Mary Ann Clogg has a nowy-head and a lengthy verse, while the 1803 headstone for John Clogg features a similar design. Another headstone from 1806 commemorates William Clogg, and the 1838 headstone remembers John Clogg, son of John and Phillipa Clogg. The 1841 headstone is for Avies, wife of William Clogg, and has a nowy-head, while the last headstone, from 1842, honors John Clogg with a flat top.
