Description
Golden Mill is an early 19th-century mill featuring a lean-to. It is constructed from shale rubble with granite quoins and has a hipped scantle slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall, with a single-storey open-fronted cartshed to the left. The central entrance is flanked by a brick arched window on the right, and there is a loading door on the first floor with windows on either side. The mill is built into a bank at the back, with the entrance at first floor level. An overshot mill wheel is located on the northeast wall, and one millstone remains set in the first floor.
