Description
Golden Mill House is a miller's house built around 1800. It is constructed from shale rubble with timber lintels and features a scantle slate roof and brick gable chimneys. The house has a double depth plan that is three rooms wide and two storeys high. The front has three windows, with a Victorian extension containing one additional window to the right. The door lintel is positioned lower than the flanking windows. The front windows are 12-paned sashes, while the rear has small-paned two-light casements. The eaves are lower at the back. Inside, much of the original 1800 features remain, including stone flagged floors, two-panel doors, and a main dog leg stair.
