Tombchest. 1746. Erected by William Rattle of Cadson in memory of his son Thomas. Ashlar slatestone with moulded slatestone lid. Rectangular stone lid with chamfered corners. Well engraved with dedication around edge. Verse in central panel flanked Compare with tombchest erected by William Rattle for his wife Katharine (q.v. tombchest of Katharine Rattle 5 m north of church of St Ive).
