ALTARNUN FIVE LANES SX 28 SW 4/93 House 50 metres to south west of - Kings Head Hotel

House. 1821 (datestone), possibly with earlier origins. Rendered and painted stone rubble partly hung with rag slates. Rag slate roof with gable ends. Projecting stone rubble end stack on left and stone rubble axial stack to right of centre. Plan: Three room plan with lobby entrance to right of centre. Two rooms to left of entrance heated by end stack and axial stack and lower room on right, sharing the axial stack. One room plan service outshut to rear heated by end stack. Exterior: Two storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front with dressed stone voussoirs to openings and with entrance to right of centre. C20 glazed door with datestone above: E I B 1821

C20 window to right and three 2-light casements with painted headed lights to left. Three 2-light casements on first floor. The right hand side of the house is partly slate hung and there is a George V letter box towards the right hand end. Interior: Not inspected.
