Description

This is a terrace of fourteen houses located on the south side of Upper Cheltenham Place in Montpelier, Bristol, built around 1830. The houses are constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, and have party wall stacks. They are arranged with a double-depth plan, each house spanning three storeys and a basement. Each house has a one-window frontage.

The houses feature left-hand doorways with semicircular arches, some with batswing fanlights, flat architraves, imposts and keys, along with boot scrapers and six-panel doors. The windows are generally 6/6-pane hornless sashes, with small, flat-lintelled basement windows at street level. The interior of the houses was not inspected during the listing process.

Attached to the left-hand side of number 70 are wrought-iron spear-headed railings.
