Description
Rosedale Cottage is a house built around 1830, located on Upper Cheltenham Place in Montpelier, Bristol. The building features a rendered exterior with a brick back and limestone dressings, and it has a double-depth plan. It is one storey high with a basement and has a symmetrical front with a central semicircular-arched doorway, complete with key and impost blocks, leading to a six-panel door accessed by a short bridge. The windows are 6/6-pane sashes. The rear elevation includes ashlar pilasters supporting a parapet, with ashlar lintels above. The interior has not been inspected. Notably, the property has attached spear-headed railings in front of the area. Rosedale Cottage is a well-preserved example of a single-storey house, with another similar example located at No.36 York Road.
