House, now offices. c1760. Roughcast, brick end stacks and a pantile roof. Double-depth plan. 3-storeys and basement; 3-window range. Symmetrical frontage has a central doorway with an open pediment on pilasters, a 6-panel door and plain fanlight; either side are 2-storey canted bays with an entablature with triglyphs to the ground floor and a cornice to the first floor, and 6/6-pane sashes flanking 8/8-pane sashes. The upper windows have flush sash boxes, with 6/6-pane sashes above the door, and paired 12/12 panes above the bays. INTERIOR: wide central through-hall with modillion cornice and flagged floor; a fine open-well stair to the rear right, with urn-and-column balusters and a wide curtail, ramped hand rail and fluted panels, and a good niche with a pastoral plasterwork scene to the head; fireplaces in the hall and upstairs rooms; the cellars have round-arched vaults. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: wrought-iron railings with small ball finials to the front area, with an overthrow arch and an ashlar pier to the right. The left-hand bay is isolated from the rest of the house, and has its own railings.
