Description
15 and 17 Tyndalls Park Road is a house, now used as offices, built around 1850. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features lateral and party wall stacks, topped with a hipped roof made of concrete tiles. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in the Italianate style, consisting of three storeys and a basement, with a two-window range.
The middle window block is stepped forward and includes rusticated quoin strips and a party wall band. The ground floor has a banded design leading to a plat band, a sill band on the second floor, and deep timber bracketed eaves. At each end, there are single-storey porches with rusticated jambs and segmental heads featuring vermiculated keys, each with a two-panel door.
The inner three-light bow windows have flat heads with rounded corners and are adorned with stone balustrades. The outer ground-floor windows are framed with rusticated voussoirs and raised cornices, while similar heads above have panelled aprons and tripartite inner windows, all topped with console cornices. The second floor features paired inner windows with semicircular-arched heads, panelled jambs, and archivolts. The basement windows also have rusticated voussoirs. The windows are fitted with plate-glass sashes, some of which include margin bars. The interior has not been inspected.
