Description
11 and 13 Tyndalls Park Road are a pair of attached houses, now used as offices, built around 1850. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature a party wall and lateral stacks, topped with a hipped roof covered in concrete tiles. The buildings are designed in the Italianate style and consist of three storeys and a basement, with a symmetrical front that has a three-window range. The central two-window section is stepped forward and includes rusticated quoin strips, a party-wall band, a plat band, and bracketed eaves.
The left house features an elliptical-headed doorway to the left of the middle section, which has a recessed three-panel door. The right house has a semicircular-arched doorway in the return, with rusticated jambs and a panelled door. Both houses have inner shallow canted bays with segmental heads, thin attached columns at the reveals, a cornice, and a panelled balustrade. Above these bays are tripartite semicircular-arched windows with console cornices, while the remaining windows have segmental heads with shouldered and eared architraves, first-floor cornices, and sill blocks. The windows are fitted with plate-glass sashes, some of which have margin bars. The interior has not been inspected. The houses are now linked with Nos. 5-19.
