Pair of attached houses, now offices. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar, party wall and lateral stacks and a slate hipped roof. Double-depth plan. Italianate style. Each of 2 storeys, attic and basement; 2-window range. A symmetrical front has outer attic towers with overhanging eaves linked by a parapeted 2-storey centre, with entrances in the returns. Banded ground floor to a band of raised circles linked by leaves; narrow second-floor band with small circles, and brackets to the eaves. Semicircular-arched 2-light windows with archivolts and central slim column mullions: tripartite windows to outer bays have panelled aprons, blocked colonnettes with foliate capitals, and missing balustrade; paired windows above, with shouldered architraves, segmental pediments, console cornices and fluted columns, with twisted columns and recessed spandrels to the attic. INTERIOR: largely remodelled late C20.
