Description
The Statue of Edward VII, located on Queen's Road in Clifton, Bristol, was created in 1912 by the sculptor Henry Poole. The statue is constructed from Pennant stone, granite, limestone ashlar, and bronze. It features three Pennant steps leading up to a moulded granite base, which is supported by a square ashlar plinth. The plinth has a moulded base adorned with shells on the front and back, and its sides are panelled, displaying the Royal arms on the front and the City arms on the back. The bronze figure depicts Edward VII in imperial robes and is recognized as a fine work by a notable sculptor of the period.
