Pair of attached houses, now 3. Mid C19. Probably by George Gay. Limestone ashlar, rendered sides, roof not visible. Double-depth plan. Neoclassical style. 2 storeys, basement and attic; 4-window range. A symmetrical front has projecting wings, banded ground floor to a plat band, first-floor paired pilasters to an entablature with a bracketed cornice, and a low attic storey with paired pilasters topped with small pediments. In the central section is a plain, deep C20 doorway inserted to the right of the left-hand window; returns have projecting centres with paired pilasters to entablatures, rectangular overlights and 2-leaf, 3-panel doors, and a raised parapet to an external chimney above the doorway. 3-light outer bays have parapets and 4/4-panes sashes with margin panes, first-floor windows with architraves and cornices above, and inner windows with eared architraves and sill bands, to sashes with margin bars. INTERIOR not inspected. One of a type of house built by Gay along Cotham Road and in Tyndall's Park.
