Description
2 and 4 Cotham Road are a pair of attached houses built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature a central brick ridge stack topped with a slate pyramidal roof. The houses have a double-depth plan and are designed in the Italianate style, each standing three storeys tall with a two-window range. The outer windows are located in a slightly set-back two-storey block that includes a cornice and parapet. The ground floor has a banded design leading to a wide plat band, with pilasters at the ends and centre on the first floor, and brackets supporting the overhanging eaves. The middle windows are tripartite, featuring sill blocks and bracketed cornices on both the ground and first floors, while the outer windows are set in shallow recesses. The second-floor window has a semicircular-arched head and is fitted with plate-glass sashes. There are single-storey end porches with imposts and panelled doors. The interior has not been inspected.
