Description

This is a pair of attached early 19th-century houses located on Henbury Road, Bristol. The houses are rendered with limestone dressings, featuring a central brick stack and a pantile mansard roof with coped verges. They are two storeys high and have a two-window frontage. The design is symmetrical, with pilasters and a coped parapet. Each house has a pedimented doorcase with pilasters and triglyphs, above a fanlight and a six-panel door. The windows are primarily 8/8-pane sashes, with dormers containing 4/8-pane sashes. Number 196 has an additional 2/4-pane sash dormer on the left side. The interior has not been inspected. Associated with the houses are wrought-iron area railings featuring spear-headed tops and urn finials.
