Description
The gates, piers, and perimeter walls to the south and east of Henbury Manor date from the early 19th century. The gate piers are made of pennant ashlar, while the walls are constructed from rubble with limestone roll-top coping. The gates are made of cast iron, featuring spear-headed designs and are ramped with fleur-de-lys. The walls extend approximately 25 meters to the west and 75 meters to the east of the south gateway to Henbury Manor, enclosing the south and east sides of the garden, which faces Rectory Gardens and Henbury Road. The wall also returns to meet a garden building to the north and connects with the churchyard wall to the southwest.
