Farmhouse, now house. C18, extended mid C19. Lias rubble, squared coursed Lias, Pennant lintels, brick end stacks and pantile roof. C19 house across the left gable of the C18 building; double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 3-window C18 block; 2 storeys; 4-window mid C19 block. Plain C18 house has C19 casement windows and middle doorway. C19 house has overhanging eaves to the front and end gables. Windows have flat lintels incorporating label moulds to Tudor-arched casements, with 3-lights to the centre and 4-lights either side; a C20 doorway has been inserted into the left-hand window. INTERIORS not inspected. HISTORICAL NOTE: named for Mary, Countess of Westmoreland, who granted the land on which the house stands to Sir Francis Fane in 1639. The C19 range a very similar farmhouse design to that at Brentry Farm, Charlton Road (not included).
