Description
The Elms is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations in the 18th century and later. It is characterised by a double-depth plan. The external appearance is of render, with brick end stacks and a pantile roof. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a five-window front. It features steep, coped gables to the ends and rear, and paired gables to the front. A symmetrical facade includes a stone canopy supported by deep, scrolled brackets over the front door. The windows are primarily 8/8-pane sashes in flush frames, with casements in the attic. The interior has not been inspected.
