Description
Lollipop Farmhouse is an outlying picturesque farmhouse located on the Talbot Village estate, dating from around 1850. It is constructed of red brick and features a ground floor and semi-attic, with an asymmetrical L-plan and a gable end facing the road. The farmhouse has mullioned windows, with three-light windows featuring transoms on the ground floor, while most of the other windows are two-light with diamond lattice glazing, some of which still remain. The roofs are steeply pitched and adorned with ornamental scalloped tiles arranged in bands that alternate with ordinary tiles, along with overhanging eaves and plain bargeboards. The chimneystacks are made of stucco, and there is a glazed porch at the angle of the building. Additionally, two single-storey gabled wings project to the east. Lollipop Farmhouse, along with the Storehouse and Barn, and Slade's Farmhouse, Barns, and Storehouses, forms a group with all the listed buildings on Wallisdown Road.
