Description
Robshaw Brothers Ltd is a polychrome brick warehouse built in the Italian medieval style around 1870. The building has three storeys and features five bays on the west front, with two bays each on the north and south gable ends. The ground floor is constructed of buff brick with red brick stripes and has blocked windows. The first and second floors are adorned with broad buff brick pilasters that are banded in red. Between these pilasters, there are two tiers of segment-headed windows, which have red brick voussoirs set in buff brick walls. The pilasters are connected by prominent blind arches made of red brick, featuring tympana decorated with diamond-set buff and red chequerwork. The gables are pedimental and include red dressings, with a central medallion above a buff frieze and red cornice. The entrance is located at the north-west corner and is topped with a red brick pediment.
