Description
Liberty's Warehouse is a warehouse built around 1910, designed for retail use. It features cream and green glazed brick with stone dressings and has a free classical style. The building consists of three storeys plus a basement and dormers, arranged in eight bays. The end bays are highlighted by segmental open pediments above the second floor, creating a symmetrical appearance. The ground floor has square-headed, three-light mullioned windows, while the first floor showcases canted bay windows set within giant arcades supported by rusticated pilasters that extend through the ground and first floors. A moulded band runs above the first floor, and the second floor has square-headed, three-light windows. Above the second floor, there is a modillion cornice, and the stone-corniced dormers feature square-headed windows with two and three lights. Additionally, circular windows are set below the end pediments, and the windows are framed in metal with small panes and glazing bars.
