Description
No. 3 Lowndes Court is a terrace house built around 1820. It features a stock brick exterior with a concealed roof and stands four storeys tall, with two windows across its front. The ground floor has a shop front that is plastered with stucco and includes an entablature. To the right, there are square-headed doorways for both the house and the shop, each with rectangular fanlights above. The shop door is panelled and glazed, while the house door is also panelled. The shop window has large panes. The upper floors are adorned with recessed glazing bar sashes set within plain cement architraves. A stucco plat band runs along the first floor, and there is a crowning stucco cornice at the top. This building is part of the redevelopment of Carnaby Street and Newburgh Street from around 1820.
