Description
No. 24 Carnaby Street is a terrace house located on a corner site, built around 1820. It features stock brick construction and a slate roof, rising four storeys with a dormered mansard. The building is two windows wide and has a double wooden shop front on both sides, with a doorway and display windows from the mid-20th century. It retains part of the original consoled pilaster frame and entablature, which includes a moulded cornice. The upper floors have recessed sash windows without glazing bars, set beneath flat, gauged red brick arches. The building is topped with a parapet that has coping. It is part of the redevelopment of Carnaby Street and Newburgh Street that took place around 1820.
