Description
The ventilation standard and bollards at the junction with Carnaby Street approach are located on Great Marlborough Street in the City of Westminster. This late 19th-century structure features a circular section cast iron standard with moulded decoration, resting on a pierced square base. Above the base, it supports a Nico lantern topped with a finial. The standard serves to vent the public conveniences located on the traffic island. At each of the three corners of the island, there are later 19th-century cast iron bollards, which have battered square bases and acorn finials.
