Description
This is a single-storey stone lodge, built around 1890 in a free Tudor style. The exterior is rock-faced stone with smooth dressings. It has a greenish slate roof with decorative roof tiles. A shallow, four-centred former entrance arch, now glazed, is topped by a battlemented parapet. A canted bay window with an ogee roof is set against the gable adjacent to the arch. To the west and north, there are stone gables, battlements, and canted bay windows with white-painted timber frames. The lodge features a central chimney with a moulded cornice. The building contributes group value to the surrounding area.
