Description

The chest tomb of Admiral Russell, dated 1821, is located approximately 18 metres east of the Parish Church of Canford Magna. This tomb commemorates Admiral Russell, who was the former Commander of the North Sea Fleet. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features iron railings. The tomb has a wide base with a moulded plinth and top, surrounded by railings with corner finials. Inside, there is a rectangular plinth with panelled sides and sunken ovals at the ends, an inscription, and an urn adorned with a swag on top.
