Description

The Russel Chest Tomb, located 5 yards south of the chancel of Holy Trinity Church, is a Grade II listed structure. This chest tomb commemorates Thomas Russel, who died in 1702. It is made of limestone ashlar and features square inscribed panels with enriched borders, along with a moulded cornice. The chest tombs in this area represent a fine collection of local and classical tomb designs, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
