Description
There are two chest tombs made of limestone located approximately 2 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Michael. One tomb is inscribed with the details of John Russell, a yeoman who was buried on July 22, 1575, and his wife Margaret, who was buried on April 17, 1567. This tomb was set up by their eldest son, Robert Russell, on April 9, 1607. It features pilasters between the panels and at the corners, along with a heavy moulded ledger. The second chest tomb is likely from the late 17th century and has a worn panel, baluster corners, and a heavy moulded ledger.
