Description
This building is a garage located 15 yards to the east of No. 290, High Street, in Batheaston. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and was originally a coach house and stable. The structure is made of coursed, squared rubble and features a Cotswold stone slate roof with coped raised verges and finials. There is a large segmental arch opening, which is now blocked with a modern window, and to the right, there is a large 20th-century vehicular opening. Above these openings, there are two oval pitching eyes set within decorative panels.
