Description

This is a three-storey terrace house, originally dating from around 1775, and later converted into flats during the 20th century. The front is faced with limestone ashlar, while the basement is of rubble construction. The rear elevations incorporate ashlar and rubble. The roof is hipped, with Roman tiles on the front and concrete tiles at the rear, and includes a coped party wall with two rebuilt ashlar stacks incorporating some original clay pots. A staircase is located at the rear.

The front facade has a single bay with three windows. The first floor features three grouped plate glass sash windows, which are narrower on either side, set in splayed reveals with a continuous stone sill. The second floor has three similar windows. The ground floor has two paired sash windows to the left, and a six-panel door with flush beaded and glazed panels within a pedimented Doric doorcase, leading to a pennant-paved crossover with a cast iron footscraper. A plate glass sash window is set within a plain reveal with a stone sill in the basement, with a 20th-century door situated beneath the crossover. A double dormer contains 20th-century windows. A band course runs above the ground floor and a dentil eaves cornice sits below a coped parapet, which has been rebuilt in reconstituted Bath Stone. The rear elevations have plate glass sash windows, with a lead hopperhead at the eaves.

The interior was not inspected.

Attached wrought iron railings and a gate, which have shaped heads on concrete bases, are also part of the property.
