Description
This house, built around 1780, is constructed from limestone ashlar with a concrete tile roof. It is a double-depth house with a main entrance on the right-hand side. The exterior is three storeys high, with an attic and a basement. The front facade is three bays wide. The ground floor features two plain plate glass sashes set in splayed reveals, and a six-panel door topped by an enriched, pedimented Doric doorcase. A platband runs along the first floor level. The first floor has three nine/nine sash windows, each with dropped sills and wrought iron balconettes. The second floor has three plain plate glass sashes within moulded architraves. A cornice is topped by a parapet, and behind it is a mansard roof with double, flat-topped dormers containing plain sashes. A rubble and ashlar chimney stack with pots is visible on the left side. The basement level has wrought iron railings and an enclosed bridge leading to the front door, along with two plain plate glass sashes. The rear elevation is not visible. The interior has not been inspected.
