Description

The Fir Tree Inn is an early to mid-19th century building constructed from coursed and painted rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a hipped slate roof and ashlar chimneys on the sides, which have moulded capping. The inn is two storeys tall, with the main elevation showcasing three windows on the first floor and four large glazing bar sash windows on the ground floor. The central doorway is square-headed with an edge roll surround and is topped by a flat stone hood supported by cut stone brackets. The door is panelled. There is a plain band course at the first floor level. The return elevation is similar but has only two windows on the ground floor, and the door features raised and fielded panels.
