Description
This non-conformist chapel, located in Smallcombe Cemetery (formerly Bathwick Cemetery), is a Grade II listed building. It features random squared limestone rubble and has a pyramid roof made of alternating plain and scalloped slates, with a small gabled vent on each face.
The chapel is designed in the Early English style and has an octagonal single cell plan. Each corner is supported by a buttress, and each face includes a lancet window with a cusped head and a continuous hood-mould. A porch projects from the north face, featuring a pointed arch of two orders and a bell-cote above.
Inside, the chapel boasts a scissor-brace roof and retains its original pierced wooden gates.
