Description

This is a memorial located in Smallcombe Cemetery, dating from around 1880. It is made of artificial stone and is encrusted with glass mosaic, showcasing an Italianate style. The memorial features a twisted Composite column on a panelled base, which supports a fluted urn. The body of the column is twisted in a barley sugar manner and is adorned with continuous ribbons set with coloured glass mosaic. This type of memorial is extremely unusual.
